Opened on November 8, 1996, the T. T. Tsui Building (徐展堂樓) stands alongside its smaller neighbor, the Fung Ping Shan Building, serving as the home of the University Museum and Art Gallery (UMAG). As visitors approach UMAG, they are welcomed by a family of six bronze lions, beautifully sculpted by artist To Shui Ming (杜瑞明). These exquisite lions, generously donated by Dr T. T. Tsui, add a touch of artistry and tradition, inviting guests into a space brimming with cultural heritage and artistic beauty.

Founded in 1953, UMAG is proud to house a diverse and treasured collection of ceramics and bronzes that span from the Neolithic period to the Qing dynasty. The museum also features an impressive array of paintings, ranging from the Ming dynasty to contemporary works of the twenty-first century. Beyond its permanent exhibits, UMAG regularly hosts exhibitions showcasing both ancient and modern Chinese and Western art, reaffirming its heartfelt dedication to arts education and cultural enrichment for the community.
