HKU Grand Hall

It was in 1910 that the foundation stone of the Main Building was laid and from where grew the Main Campus.

One hundred years later the Centennial Campus became the home of the Faculties of Law, Arts and Social Sciences, as well as the Grand Hall and the Learning Commons.

Named Buildings & Facilities

Since the Foundation Stone of the University was laid on March 16, 1910, our campuses in Pokfulam have witnessed the development of iconic buildings and inspiring facilities. Each name stands as a tribute to the beliefs, values, and unwavering support of benefactors who have shaped generations of HKU members and beyond.

The University of Hong Kong has now embarked on further plans to strengthen its headquarters to tackle the challenges of the next century.  The campus extensions are designed for innovation and entrepreneurship, exciting collaborations and cross-disciplinary pursuits.

These projects will be completed in phases in the next five years or so.
