With a generous gift from Vietnam Van Thinh Phat Holdings (VTP Group), a scholarship was established to enable talented young students from Vietnam to realise their academic dreams at HKU.
With the Vietnam Van Thinh Phat Scholarships, the students may choose to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting & Finance) at the Faculty of Business & Economics or other undergraduate programmes at the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Architecture at HKU. The scholarships shall be tenable through the course of study subject to a satisfactory performance being maintained.
After the successful completion of their undergraduate studies, the awardees will secure a position at VTP Group Holdings, with remuneration benchmarked at the market rate.
The VTP Group has been operating in the Vietnam market since the early 1990s and is focused on international trading, hotel restaurant services and the real estate market. The Group is also dedicated the betterment of the nation and, through these scholarships, the Group contributes to the nurturing of the younger generation who will be the pillars of their country one day.
