Prof Lap-Chee Tsui: “It is my honour to stand before you as the new Chairman of the Foundation, to carry on the fine tradition and exemplary work of my predecessors, from Dr Stanley Ho to Dr Philip Wong and to Professor Rosie Young. I am humbled to follow in their footsteps.”
On 7 Nov 2023, the HKU Foundation hosted a reunion event at Loke Yew Hall with over 200 donors, alumni and friends of HKU attended. Prof Tsui gave the opening speech and invite guests to give advices and exchange ideas for the University.
Prof Lap-Chee Tsui served as the Vice-Chancellor and President of HKU from 2002 to 2014, the First-in-the-Family Education Fund, Endowed Professorship and many other signature programmes were launched under his leadership.
