This year, twenty-six students from HKU are the proud recipients of HSBC Hong Kong Scholarships, HSBC Social Work Scholarships, HSBC Overseas Scholarship Scheme, and the Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award. The awardees celebrated their achievements at the 2014 HSBC Scholars Day held at the HSBC Main Building on July 16.
HSBC has been supporting scholarships at tertiary institutions in Hong Kong for many decades. Each year, HSBC awards approximately HK$10 million to more than 300 tertiary students in Hong Kong.
As part of the programme for Scholars Day, scholarship awardees from the ten benefitting institutions dedicated music performances to express their gratitude towards HSBC. HKU Engineering Student, Cheung Chim-Lee shared his enthusiasm for robotics and performed a robot demonstration on stage.
