Having been among the first cohort of the reformed medical curriculum in 1997, Professor Pamela Lee was the only member of the MBBS Class 2002 to graduate with honours.
Her early start as an academic clinician, with a research focus on primary immunodeficiencies (PID),has allowed her to attain many key milestones at a young age. She received the Faculty Teaching Medal in recognition of her excellence in teaching, curriculum innovations and scholarship in medical education when she was just 30 years old. She became the Education Coordinator of the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine in 2017, and was recruited to the T&L Deanery as Assistant Dean in charge of the Clinical Curriculum in 2018. She is currently one of the four paediatric Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) physicians in Hong Kong.
The impact of Professor Lee’s research and her commitment to knowledge exchange extends HKU's reputation well beyond academia, reaching out to broad communities of clinicians and patients within and outside Hong Kong.
